Security Equipment Corporation (SEC), manufacturer of SABRE & SABRE RED pepper sprays, is proud to announce that it has achieved platinum level status as a sponsor of the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). The NBCF is grateful to an army of sponsors that supports its vision and belief that women have the right to live. Since 2008, sales of SABRE products has generated over $700,000 to support the mission and vision of the NBCF. In 2008, SEC introduced the first pink pepper spray in support of the NBCF; today SEC is proud to have four different SABRE pink pepper spray models and a personal alarm which provide funding to the NBCF’S early detection and awareness programs.
SABRE’s four models are pink key chains for protection while on-the-go, one of these includes our Protector dog attack deterrent. These NBCF specialty models are available on www.SabreRed.com
; as well as in: automotive, drug stores, hardware, sporting goods stores, mass merchant retailers, online retailers, pet specialty stores and police supply stores.
For over 20 years, the NBCF has used its light to bring help and hope to those that have been touched by breast cancer. SABRE champions the NBCF’s mission to save lives through early detection and to provide mammograms for those in need. While providing these services, the NBCF’s goal is to increase awareness through education and offering nurturing support programs.
The NBCF has a strong commitment to good stewardship and appropriation of funds. This is evident through their 4-Star rating and Top Rated 2013 status from the websites -- Charity Navigator and GreatNonprofits, respectively. NBCF will continue to enlighten and guide, while always remaining consistent in its financial management and execution of programs.
Through this year’s charitable contributions, the NBCF was able to expand on numerous initiatives including: the Breast Health Program. They are able to provide on-site breast health education services to low income areas throughout the US and help women sign-on for the Early Detection Plan. The NBCF also launched a new, more interactive website – NBCF.org. Their goal is to ensure visitors to this online destination are engaged while browsing the site for information on breast cancer.
The NBCF enters 2014 with hopes of finding a cure for breast cancer. This will only occur through targeted research funding. SEC is committed to champion this cause through continued support of the NBCF’s mission via sales of its pink personal safety products.
