Frequent bear attacks have been raising concern as they are happening more steadily this year.
For instance, after unknowingly waking a grizzly bear in Idaho, Gregg Losinski and his friend, two habitat researchers, were attacked before they were able to escape the scenario. After the men were finally able to escape the bear, they had to seek medical attention for “treatable but substantial injuries” at the Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, Idaho. Another situation involves a 12-year-old named Abby Wetherell from Cadillac, Mich. Wetherell was attacked by a black bear while jogging on her neighborhood trail. At first she ran, however after the bear caught up with her, she played dead and eventually began screaming for help. Wetherell’s father heard her cry and came to help her, witnessing large gashes on her legs. Wetherell was treated at Munson Medical Center, confirms ABCNews.com.
