Many of us have health and fitness top of mind during New Year's resolution season. To help you with your wellness goals in 2015, health coach Lindsey Smith is offering up her two favorite detox recipes. Eat well, look well, feel well!
One of my favorite ways to reset into the New Year is by feeding my body whole food that help balance my gut and my mood. This smoothie is a win-win for both. If you aren’t feeling a cold smoothie in the winter, you can also use warm water instead of cold water or almond milk. 1 oz. apple cider vinegar 1⁄2 cup water or almond milk 1. Blend all ingredients and enjoy!
Easy Crispy Kale Chips
By Lindsey Smith
I love these crunchy, salty and delicious kale chips. They help detoxify my body while satisfying my salty chip craving.
1 bunch kale
1 Tbsp. olive oil (or olive oil/coconut oil spray)
Salt and pepper to taste
Pinch of cayenne (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a cookie sheet
with tin foil or parchment paper.
2. With a knife or your hands tear away the leaves from the stems and discard stems.
3. Lay torn pieces of kale onto cookie sheet and drizzle or spray with oil and flavor with salt, pepper and cayenne (if you want a kick).
4. Bake until edges are brown but not burnt. About 10-12 minutes.
Enjoy! Check in with us early next week for two more detox recipes from Jennifer Cassetta!
