Filipina women who would not otherwise have been able to afford personal protection recently received the world’s best pepper spray, courtesy of Kuros!TM, a company dedicated to providing women in developing nations with self-defense tools. The June 2016 pepper spray distribution effort in the Philippines was funded in part by domestic purchases of SABRE’s Kuros! Key Case Pepper Spray with Quick Release Key Ring. The Kuros! model provides one of SABRE’s most practical on-the-go options to U.S. consumers, and also gives women around the world a fighting chanceTM.
Pepper spray canisters containing 25 bursts (5x other brands) and a 10-foot range were distributed to women in the Angeles and Tondo slums of Manila Bay. “Whenever there’s a lack of government involvement with poverty, women in particular are left vulnerable,” explained Kuro Tawil, Kuros! founder. “Even walking to the store at night is extremely risky for the residents of these Filipino slums. Given the conditions, it was extremely rewarding to see how much the women appreciated their new pepper spray. Everyone loved the idea.”
“Every day, we’re working to make the world a safer place,” said David Nance, SABRE CEO. “We couldn’t be happier to bring protection to those in desperate need. Thank you to all customers who purchased the domestic Kuros! model and made this effort possible.”
The domestic Kuros! Key Case Pepper Spray with Quick Release Key Ring provides practical protection at a safe distance (10 feet). The canister contains approximately 25 bursts and is protected by a durable key case with finger grip that helps consumers aim pepper spray in the right direction, improving accuracy and product retention. Proceeds go toward providing pepper spray to women in need, and successful drops have also been completed in India, South Africa and El Salvador.
