Fun, sun and culture are on the horizon! Your bags are packed, you’re with your friends and everyone’s ready for takeoff. As your vacation begins, SABRE begins sharing travel tips to help your spring break run smoothly. Our first couple of pieces of advice concern your arrival in terms of safety and preparedness.
Spring Break Tip #1
If you’re driving, don’t be tempted to power through the night. Traffic death rates are three times greater at night than during the day, according to the National Safety Council. If for whatever reason you can’t avoid night driving, have somebody stay up and talk to the driver. Caffeine won’t hurt either – and be sure to stay on the lookout for unsafe drivers.
Spring Break Tip #2
If you’re traveling outside the country, do a little research on U.S. resources in your destination. Find contact information for the U.S. consulate or embassy. Also, be sure to tell loved ones in the U.S. about your travel itinerary. Let them know when you’ll check in with them, so that they can take action if they don’t hear from you.
Stay tuned for more!
