Why Was the Program Created?
Security Equipment Corporation (SEC), the family
owned and operated manufacturer of SABRE
Defense Sprays, wanted to further increase the
safety of SABRE users! The Nance family teamed
up with elite law enforcement instructors to design
a program specifically to maximize your safety.
Although every SABRE canister is packaged with
instructions on how to use the product, the techniques
presented to avoid attacks and the practical training
drills executed during
simulated attacks give
CSAP students knowledge
and experience
to live smarter and safer.
CSAP’s lead Master
Instructor, Gary Sikorski,
is a retired Deputy Chief from the Detroit
Area and has taught safety awareness
programs for over ten (10) years. Gary’s
programs were so popular that he became
the go to safety expert for the local NBC
news affiliate.
Who Will Teach the Program
Your SABRE Civilian
Safety Awareness
Program will be taught
by a Certified SABRE
CSAP Instructor. Prior
to becoming a Certified
SABRE CSAP Instructor,
your Instructor had to display his/her presentation
abilities, knowledge of the program content, and
ability to teach the practical safety drills.
Knowledge, Enthusiasm, Passion, and Professionalism
are required characteristics of SABRE Civilian
Safety Awareness Instructors.

You probably don't remember, but I went to the CSAP class a few months back and somehow we got talking about the tasers. My husband purchased one for myself and my daughter. I had it with me that night and you seemed to be impressed with it. It has the laser too.
We've watched the video that comes with it, but I'm still terrified that someone would take it and use it on me! Just like I WAS with the pepper spray.

Last November I reported on a Civilian Safety Awareness Program I had attended, which was offered by our Lexington County Sheriff's Department in cooperation with Security Equipment Corporation, makers of Sabre brand "pepper spray". (Although the program featured Sabre products, it went way beyond any particular brand, and covered subjects other than defensive sprays.) Several people on our Neighborhood Watch list have asked me to let them know when a similar program would be offered in the future. These programs fill up so fast!
