Bear Spray for Camping in Colorado

"Bear spray is an effective and nonlethal way to deter bears. Don't keep it in your backpack though, because they aren't prone to waiting," says John Bear, staff writer at Colorado Daily. Bear also shares various additional bear safety tips from the National Park Service, including concealing your food and making noise.
