Anti-government protesters clogged the streets and halted traffic in Hong Kong this past Friday, July 1st. More than 58,000 people showed up to the Hong Kong Central Business District on the 14th Anniversary of the British handover of the territory to China.

The Hong Kong Police Force were tasked with controlling the crowd and as protesters attempted breaking through a police barricade, officers dispersed the pressing protestors with their SABRE Pepper Spray. In the end, more than 200 individuals were arrested.

SABRE OC sprays (also known as personal safety sprays) are used worldwide from the NYPD and the Irish National Police to the Honk Kong Police Force. The HK Police Force itself has approximately 28,000 sworn officers and has been in existence since 1844.
