SABRE Aerosol Irritant Projector Instructor (Re)Certification Course
1-Day (8-Hour) Certification Program
Course Overview
This Instructor level certification program focuses on deploying, handling, and documenting the use of Aerosol Irritant Projectors (AIP). Medical issues and legal liability will also be addressed. This course will enhance the instructor's development in the use and training of AIP tactics and will help departments increase the safety of their officers, students, and subjects. This program addresses proper deployment techniques, available products, the SABRE Contamination Waiver, student voluntary contamination guidelines, proper decontamination, reporting force, and tactics for surviving an AIP attack. This certification is valid for three calendar years from successfully completing this course.

All Officers Should Bring:
- Complete duty gear with handcuffs & key, baton & carrier, holster (NO Live Firearm) — Training Firearms provided
- Change of clothes, towel & safety glasses (recommended)
Contaminations are NOT required. All contaminations are conducted on a voluntary basis.
All SABRE courses are applicable for new certifications and recertifications.
Registration Information
Class size is limited to 25 participants. Registration must be completed at least 30 days prior to the course date.
