Pepper spray is a great personal safety tool because it’s easy to carry, easy to use, and allows you to protect yourself from a distance. SABRE’s glow-in-the-dark pepper spray is no different.
Read on for how to charge the glow-in-the-dark pepper spray and how to use pepper spray.
How to Charge Glow-in-the-Dark Pepper Spray
Charging the glow-in-the-dark pepper spray is easy. Simply place the product under any light for as little as five minutes up to two hours. The longer the pepper spray is under the light, the longer it will glow. When fully charged, it glows for up to eight hours.
Remember to rotate the product while it charges so that each side of the pepper spray will end up glowing.
This glow-in-the-dark pepper spray comes with a quick release keyring that allows you to carry the spray with you on a purse, bag, or keyring and provides immediate access when you need it most.
Step 2: Get a Grip
Grab your pepper spray with your dominant hand, wrapping your forefingers around the canister in a fist along the ergonomic finger grip. The finger grip helps ensures you correctly grip the spray and point it in the right direction even when you’re not directly looking at the product, and the proper hand alignment also makes it easier to spray the target.

Step 3: Use Your Thumb
This grip leaves your thumb available on top to deploy the spray. The glow-in-the-dark pepper spray has a twist lock safety that prevents accidental deployment. With your thumb, turn the tab to the right, and press down to deploy.
Step 4: Spray Across the Eyes
You’ll want to spray from ear to ear, directly across the eyes. Hitting the eyes is imperative because the pepper spray forces the eyes shut, leaving the attacker unable to see you which helps you escape to safety.
